Custom Strings
We make custom strings for recurve, compound, and crossbow setups – all built to spec. What makes us unique is that we have a full-service pro shop on-site along with a small range to allow for paper tuning after your strings are completed.
Special Offer: We offer ½ off backup strings from November through June. Have a second string made for your bow – we'll store it here or you can take it with you. Come pick it up if you're heading out of town for a hunt.
Turnaround Time: Depending on the time of year and the time strings need to stretch, usually 1–3 days. During busier times – late July and August – it could be up to a week.

Pro Shop
We carry bows from Hoyt, Mathews, PSE, and Bear, along with several brands of recurve and crossbows. For accessories, we stock sights, rests, arrows, cases, field points, broadheads, and everything else you need to get set up.
Our philosophy is simple: do it well and right for the customer. We're here to help you be the best bow hunter you can be by offering guidance and instruction to get you there. For brand new bow hunters, we'll determine your draw length and weight, then adjust the bow you choose to those specs. We can accommodate a variety of price points when outfitting your bow with the required accessories.

Gun Smithing
Most gunsmithing work is done on an hourly basis plus materials, with time pro-rated to the half-hour. Our gunsmiths are on-demand, so they're not in the shop consistently but are called upon when work comes in. We handle sights installation, gun stock adjustments, and general gunsmithing needs.
To get started: Bring your firearm to the shop to get it checked into our system. You'll need to provide identification, and the person who drops off the gun will be the person who picks it up unless prior arrangements are made with ID provided for the receiving party.

Gun Transfers
How to Initiate a Transfer: If the website you're purchasing from doesn't already have McCall Guns & Archery listed, email transfers@mccallgunsandarchery.com with the sending shop name, website address, and/or email. We'll send the FFL certificate to initiate the transfer.
What to Bring for Pickup: A VALID ID that is not expired. Your ID NEEDS to have your CURRENT PHYSICAL address. If you're updating your Idaho driver's license, they don't require you to get an updated physical ID… but you NEED to spend the money to get the new card if you plan to purchase firearms.
Acceptable ID: Driver's license, Concealed Carry or Enhanced Concealed Carry License, Commercial Driver's License, Passport, or Permanent Resident card.
With your Concealed Carry or Enhanced Concealed Carry license, you're still required to fill out the 4473 Form – there just isn't a NICS check submitted.
Fees: For 3rd party transfers, there's a fee of $25 per gun.
Reminder: No sales of handguns to any out-of-state residents. Option: You can purchase from McCall Guns & Archery and we can ship to an FFL in your home state for the background check and transfer.

Shotgun Demos
Schedule a demo of several different shotguns – shoot 5–10 targets with each gun for $100. The price includes targets and ammunition for up to 5 guns. Additional guns can be included for $25/gun. The cost of the demo will be deducted from any purchased firearm.

Shotgun Lessons
Lessons can be scheduled for 1–2 hours. For beginners, plan on shooting 25–75 targets (or until you're done). For intermediate to advanced shooters, expect 100–200 targets. Initial lessons generally take 2 hours as we'll review safety, gun fit, eye dominance, and stance/form before we start shooting.
Lessons are $75/hour plus the cost of targets and ammunition. You're welcome and encouraged to bring the ammunition you regularly use in the field – especially if you're a bird hunter. For beginners, we start with extra light target loads and adjust as necessary as your skills develop.

5-Stand Shooting Events
Events can be scheduled for groups of 5 and are based on shooting 25–100 targets each. Additional targets are available for purchase to extend the fun. Beginners to advanced shooters are welcome, but we suggest grouping with similar abilities to make for an enjoyable experience. Events can provide instruction for beginners or just shooting for intermediate and advanced shooters.
